Food & brand photographer - Nelson Coffee, Eastbourne - review

Back at the beginning of September, I stayed overnight in Eastbourne with friends from work after enjoying Steak night for a leaving do. After a lovely lie-in, we played about with my rainbow straws before heading out for brunch!

I'm a massive brunch lover who loves to discover new places, especially outside of my small town so I'd actually pre-planned our morning food plans and we headed to Nelson Coffee. I loved it! The place isn't huge and you can't book so we were lucky to get a table for the 5 of us right at the back of the cafe. I like the modern decor and light, bright atmosphere and the food is phenomenal!

I took ages deciding what to have as I just couldn't make up my mind, I wanted everything on the menu! In the end, I took the advice of the waitress and ordered the unusual sounding Kootenay Roll - "Free range scrambled eggs, chives, caramelised onions, cheddar cheese and sriracha mayo in a warm brioche bun." to which I added the optional bacon and a side of bubble & squeak cakes, I was HUNGRY! My friend Gabby swapped one of her courgette fritters for a B&S cake too and I can vouch for her choice being delicious too!

The staff were friendly, coffee was lovely and the food amazing. I definitely recommend it!
